Hi there! My name is Kathleen and I am a Nanny who is passionate about children. My passion for children began at the young age of 14 and has continued on into my adulthood. I have a degree of Social Work with a minor in Child Psychology, which has provided me with a strong education and confidence to provide children of all needs the best care and support they need to flourish. In addition to my education I also am fluent in American Sign Language and have had years of experience working with Deaf children in the Ottawa School Board. Sign Language is a fantastic skill that is beneficial to both hearing and deaf children. In my most previous role I cared for 18 month old twins and a 5 year old child. I worked for this family for a total of 4 years and enjoyed every minute. I was privileged to get to know their grandmother, who is an established Developmental Psychologist. During this time I utilized gentle parenting methods to guide, support, and build the children’s self esteem, confidence and emotional intelligence.
