Hi there, My name is Andrea, I'm an energetic, positive, caring and responsible Norwegian who recently graduated from The University of Melbourne with a double degree in psychology and geography. I have now relocated to Vancouver to pursue my masters at UBC. Having nannied all through my degree and with previous experience as an au pair, I have extensive childcare experience and I am now looking for a new family to work with! I am the oldest girl of five siblings, and was basically breast fed responsibility and organization skills. I believe a caring and resourceful nanny can have a considerable impact on a child's life, and I always do my very best to ensure the best care possible for the children and families I work with. I am very active and do lots of sports (soccer, climbing and skiing in particular); I love taking kids outside to play, and encourage exploration and learning in an active manner. I have extensive childcare experience, having au paired with a French family in Paris for a year, taking care of three boys aged 10, 7 and 4. This was an incredibly rewarding year, and I went on to nanny on a regular basis for three Australian families while I studied in Melbourne, with children aged 6m, 2y, 3y, 7y and 10y. I also accompanied one of the families to California for three weeks so I am experienced traveling with children. I have also worked part-time as a tutor during uni, and got experience tutoring children ages 9-17 in English, French and maths. I am looking for a family to establish a long-term relationship with, however I am also interested in short-term work. I have a very flexible schedule during the summer months as I will be doing field work for my research which I can be flexible with.
