Hi! I am Modesta Lopez, you can call me Ofelia or Faye. I am 53 years old Filipino and currently working as a house keeper in Malaysia to support 2 out of my 2 children back in the Philippines. The remaining 4 are all adults and have their own lives now. I majored in Management in college back in my home country and I also took a 6 month course for care giving and was able to get a brief stint in the United Kingdom as a caregiver. After that, I decided to go to Malaysia and work here. I did baby sitting jobs and taking care of an elderly patient at one point and I am a house keeper for several clients who are mostly expats from western countries. While I have enjoyed my time working in Malaysia I have thought exploring other opportunities for me and Canada is one of the countries I would love to live the culture. I am very good with kids (6 children!) and has no qualms getting dirty with household chores. I do have several opportunities like driving, English language and a work permit. I have never owned a drivers license nor have I driven a car. Also, my english is not super excellent. I asked my daughter to help me with this essay, so in the event that you decide to invest an interview with me (via skype or any other video calling apps) you might see a slight difference with my speaking skills. (I am not super bad, you can decide after we talk). And lastly, I understand that most people are not willing to sponsor a live in caregiver here, so I am mainly looking for someone who can and wants to.
