Nanny in Edmonton, Alberta

I started working as a Nanny in 1997. I have worked for quite a few families over the years. I have worked with children ranging in age from infant to 12 years old. I once worked for a co-op, which meant that I was the "nanny" for 5 children. I took them to and from school. I cooked all meals and provided snacks. I helped with home work and made sure the kids practiced their music. I even taught one of the children how to play a few songs on the guitar. I was also responsible for doing laundry and keeping the kid zones clean and organized. The longest job I had lasted for over ten years. I called myself a "Mother's Helper". I worked with two children, a dog and a really fun Couple. I kept the house clean, doing all the house hold maintenance including laundry and keeping the house clean and tidy. I loved working with the kids. I was with them when they only had one child. I took one year off to travel and came back when they had another child. I traveled with the family to Europe and took the kids on lots of outings in the city. When the kids got older I stayed on to make family meals and keep the house running smoothly. My favorite part of that job was coming up with a menu for the family. I would plan meals and the family would choose which meals they wanted for the week. The Mother did all the shopping, but I'd be happy to handle that in the future as well as doing the cooking and meal planning. My ideal job would be with a family with up to three young children. I'd like to work for a family who are looking for someone to help with meals and light house keeping.
