Nanny in Pointe-Claire, Quebec

Hello! My name is Rebecca. I am fully bilingual (French and English). I have 2.5 years experience as a daycare educator and several years experience with various private nanny jobs. I have a certification in ABA therapy with experience working with children with ASD. I am based in the West Island of Montreal and would prefer to stay close to home, but am willing to travel if the circumstances permit. I try to follow RIE parenting - I always view the child as whole, independent people who are continually teaching themselves. I do my best to keep the child safe while supplying materials and situations that allow their natural desire for learning to blossom! I use a calm, respectful voice when speaking to children and i let them know exactly what is going on in their day and with their bodies (ex: I am going to lift your legs now so i may remove your diaper). This enlarges the scope of words the child comes in contact with, promoting proper speech patterns and a larger vocabulary. This also involves the child in his/her own life.
