Hello. My name is Leslie. I am a proud mom/step-mom to eight grown children. I worked for many of my children's early years; my peace of mind was dependent on knowing that my children were being beautifully cared for when I couldn't be with them. I worked for many years in the field of education, as a college instructor, tutor, and educational assistant. In addition, I ran a successful home daycare which featured creative play, outings, home-cooked meals, and a daily journal kept for each child. Early in my career, I also worked as a live-in nanny, taking care of two children on a full-time basis. I have worked in cities throughout Canada, including the Northwest Territories, and in the United States. I have a university degree, a certificate to teach ESL, courses in ECE, as well as training in Braille and American Sign Language. I am a passionate life-long learner, poet, and amateur yogi.
