Hi, my name is Maureen. I am an expert lego architect, finger painter, playdough baker, and park goer. I have worked with children for over 20 years, as a nanny, childhood educator in a large daycare centre, and most recently, running a successful home daycare. I have been responsible for small groups of children aged 6 months to 12 years. As a home daycare provider, I planned healthy meals, created a dynamic and engaging curriculum, taught early literacy and numeracy skills, and took the children on outings to libraries, parks, drop-in-centres, farms, fire stations, museums, art galleries, and more! I raised two children of my own, and have a great love of play, being outdoors, and watching children learn. I have taken many courses relating to childcare: child development, psychology, sociology, curriculum planning, nutrition, music, art, and more.
