Nanny in Etobicoke, Ontario

I am a Child & Youth Worker seeking a full time position in the Etobicoke/Toronto area I have over four years of experience in the field, and I specialize in working with children with special needs, though I have worked with many other populations as well. Past experience includes: -a year and a half of private respite care taking care of an adult with special needs -8 month placement in an Autism Program classroom where I created and ran programming specific to each childs needs. -4 months working after school teaching life skills and language development to a young child with autism -10 months working in a foster home for children with special needs -8 month placement in a day program for adults with developmental delays -4 month placement in a school working with children with learning disabilities Qualifications include -Child & Youth Worker advanced diploma from Sheridan College -basic american sign language skills -First Aid and CPR (October 2015) -CPI training -experience working with clients from ages 1 to 40 -experience working with various special needs including Autism, Joubert Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and various learning disabilities as well as with medical conditions such as kidney disease. I am very passionate about working with children. I am offering full time child care during work hours or evenings as needed, and I would be happy to help out around the house as well as needed. I am not exactly sure when this will be, so because of this I will need two weeks before I am able to start so that I can give my notice.
