Other than raising my own three sons I've also helped raise two foster children. A son and a daughter. I've provided before and after school care for a family with three kids for a number of years until they were old enough to care for themselves. I also have lots of experience providing animal care. I lived and worked on a cattle farm that also had five dogs, four miniature horses and four large horses. It was my job to feed water and groom them all. I have two of my own dogs. One dog was a two year old small breed that I adopted from a family that couldn't toilet train her (which I successfully did). I have a husky cross nine month old puppy that I am in the process of training to carry gear for hikes and pull sleds in the winter. There is currently another lovely older dog staying with me until his family can find suitable housing for themselves. Then there is Phoebe my 11 her old cat that keeps them all in line! I am a very friendly, loving person who spends a lot of time in nature and in the garden. I meditate regularly and I am a level 2 Reiki practioner with some experience practicing animal Reiki. I have a background in community service work and I've been a community volunteer for over 11 years. I am an very experienced swimmer with life saving skills, basic first aid and CPR. I have two reliable vehicles to get me to the places I need to be.
