Hello! My name is Erika, and I'm 28 years old. I love singing, learning languages, needle felting, and bouldering. I finished a short course on developmental psychology, and love learning about the Montessori method and gentle parenting. I'm currently learning ASL and Mandarin, and I speak conversational German. My most recent experience was taking care of a baby who was 4 months until 13 months old, along with her two brothers, 4 and 7. I took care of the baby throughout the day while the older kids were at school. I was responsible for preparing dinner for the family, making lunches for the children, doing family laundry, general clean up, dishes, and getting the older kids ready for school in the morning and onto the bus. I prepared breast milk for the baby as well as infant formula, and took care of other baby care tasks such as diaper changes, baths, brushing teeth, dressing, feeding, walks, naps and working on figuring out a nap schedule and, of course, playing, singing, and learning as well. I've been babysitting since I was 14, and more professionally as an adult from age 18. I've taken care of many different kids from newborn - 12 years old. I have taken care of many children from different families over the past 10 years. I have experience preparing bottles with both breast milk and also formula. I have experience giving scheduled night feeds for newborns and regular day time feeds as well, of course. Giving infants baths, swaddling, preparing puree foods, and baby led weaning. I've also been taking care of my nieces who are now 3 years old and 1.5 years old who I have helped take care of since they were born. I worked with a family with 4 kids aged 7 years - 12 years old. I was a nanny for this family and handled most of the grocery shopping, prepared breakfast, and school lunches for the children, and then dinner for the family. I took the children to their extracurricular activities after school, handled the laundry and ironing as well. Before the pandemic in 2019, I spent 3 months in Taiwan taking care of a 3 month old baby. In 2018 to 2019 I worked with a family with 3 kids aged 4 months, 2 years, and 4 years old. During that time I also took care of other young babies aged 3 months - 7 months. In 2014 I spent a year in Germany as an aupair and took care of two kids who were 2 years old and 7 years old.
