Nanny in Scarborough, Ontario

My name is Chelsea-Ann, and I wold like to introduce myself. I grew up in a small town outside Ottawa, with a small business mother and RCMP father, along with two siblings. Now, as an adult, my family is in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. I am still fairly new Toronto after spending 10 years in Vancouver. I have much experience when it comes to child care. As the eldest sibling, I did a great deal of babysitting, but I also did much babysitting in my community starting at the age of 14. My experience as a Nanny started in Vancouver. I worked for 3 families. First was a single mother of a beautiful 7 year old girl (I remain in touch with them), and this only ended because she moved. Second was a brief job for a French family with a two year old girl and 4 year old boy. Third was for a family with a 2 year old boy, who stole my heart (I remain in touch with them as well). My work with these families included pick up/drop off at school, meal preparation, laundry, house keeping, potty training, activity planning, homework, reading, naps and of course love. I am fluently bilingual in English/French and made sure to teach each child French. I do believe in movie time, but do not believe in children watching too much tv. Libraries, parks, outside time, reading, crafts, and activity more important. I have been swimming my whole life and did have my life guarding licence for many years, so taking any child to the pool, whether or not the know how to swim is fun. I have taught many lessons to all ages. I create a Google Sheet to create a schedule for the children, notes of how the day went, activities, meals, any kind of progress (example: potty training, school work, learning French, swimming lessons etc.) and nap times (if needed). This is a great tool as i can share it with your family, so that you may see what the days and weeks look like. I am very pet friendly, as my mother's small business was in dog grooming. At this time I do not yet have my own children, and my cat of 14 years passed away, so I have no serious commitments to keep me from loving a family. I believe if you are to work with a family this is an intimate affair, I am in someone else's home, and helping raise there children. Therefore, there needs to be a certain connection, unlike working in any other job. I am currently looking to move close to the downtown Toronto core.
