Nanny in Nelson, British Columbia

Hello families! My name is Tianna, and I just graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Social Work. I am about to dive into the workforce, but first, I would like to enjoy the winter and take some time to study for my registration exam. I would be available until approx. March. Born and raised in Nelson, I am fond of outdoor activities such as riding horses, hiking with my dog, and swimming in our beautiful Kootenay lake. I also enjoy many crafts, including crocheting, watercolour painting, and sewing. In 2015, I worked as a live-in au pair in Vienna, Austria. In 2016, I worked as a nanny for a local family in Nelson, BC. In 2019, I began working as a special education assistant for a teen with autism. In my time as a nanny/babysitter, my duties have included the following: • Accompanying children to kindergarten, ballet and music classes. • Light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming/sweeping. • Preparing meals for children. • Organizing and participating in activities such as games, crafts, and reading. • Outings to provide enriching amusement and exercise, such as to the beach, park/playground, swimming pool, or children's programs. • Supporting personal care, teeth brushing, diaper changes, and bathing. • Supporting children with homework.
