The academic experiences I have attained make me a qualified applicant; as a recent Honours graduate of Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning ECE program I have gained experience in the supervision of children ages zero to ten years. I have expanded this knowledge through the various field placement settings. I successfully completed my first placement in a preschool room; I planned developmentally appropriate programs and experiences where children constructed their own knowledge and centred on the six principles of Early Learning for Every Child Today (2007). I have also completed a field placement at a Readiness Centre run by the Peel District School Board where I gained experience regarding Emergent Curriculum and helping support families of a wide demographic; mainly those of which who were new to Canada. I facilitate experiences that are responsive to the individual needs of the children and their families.      In addition to this commitment to lifelong learning my professional accomplishments make me a suitable candidate for a full time position. Currently I am on Maternity leave until January 2016. Previously I was working at Mindwerx 4 Kids Early Learning Centre within a Preschool room. While at Mindwerx 4 Kids I also experienced running an After school Program, Summer Camps, as well as working within a JK/SK room. I also worked for Treasured Moments Human Development and Educational Centre within a Sr. Toddler room. I have been fortunate to also work at various Child Care settings within Toronto where I was able to create a supportive and safe environment where early learners can develop and grow. I have also participated in various workshops organized by Sentient; a supply staff agency such as “Yoga for Kids,” Accessibility for Ontarians Disabilities Act, 2005 (A.O.D.A.) online training Certificate, and have participated in a fall workshop geared towards diversity in the classroom.  I believe that my education and experience makes me the perfect candidate for this position and I am confident that I would be a model compliment to your childcare centre.
