I am an energetic, hardworking, patient and organized individual. Caring for and working with children is one of my passions. For two years I worked for Jacob Heslper Child Care Center as a teacher assistant in the youth development program, before starting my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. I am currently a second year student at the University of Toronto. My duties as a teacher's assistant included; • Actively assisting in planning and supervising daily activities and excursions for the children • Responsible for performing accurate daily attendance procedures and reporting to supervisor • Preparing morning and afternoon snacks following proper nutrition guidelines • Guiding children and youth to build and enhance their self-esteem and self-efficacy while enhancing and improving their social skills • Helping assess and create reports on child's growth and development within the program • Communicating with parents regarding their child’s growth and development throughout the program My experience working with Jacob Hespler Child Care center showed me the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education; " the child uses play to develop: independence, resourcefulness, curiosity, creativity, responsibility, self-regulation and most importantly, a sense of self-worth". As a nanny, I can provide exceptional care for your children, provide homework supervision, light housekeeping, light meal preparation, laundry and I can also provide pet care.
