I obtained my early childhood education diploma in June 2016 and I am now a proud member of the college of early childhood educators. My program allowed me to gain a lot of interpersonal skills and work with children from birth to twelve years of age and providing enriching life experiences. My training helps me to develop educational activities for children that allow them to develop significant skills necessary to overall development. Through courses such as observation techniques, child psychology 0-4 years, child psychology 5-12 years and even during a health and safety of the child I could expand my knowledge and apply new techniques learned during my internship. My initial internship allowed me to observe the skills and challenges of children while developing a good sense of team. During my second internship, I was able to not only watch the children, but also develop educational activities taking into account their challenges. Before starting my internship, I made a criminal background check which confirmed that I will have no impediment to getting a job. I also had the chance to take a first aid course and CPR then received a certificate. I am fully bilingual and even speak a third language is Somali.
