Hey there! My name is Ella and I am a 20-year-old University student. I adore children of all ages and I have almost a decade of babysitting experience for kids ranging in age from 8 months-15 years old. I have worked with large groups of children as a weekend program and summer camp instructor for three years so I am accustom to safely supervising up to 15 children by myself. For the past six months I have been looking after a young baby (8 months when we first started) every Saturday, so I am comfortable feeding, dressing, bathing, playing with and putting to bed very young children. I have First Aid Training, my CPR C certificate and have completed extensive Red Cross water safety training, as well as training in workplace first aid. Aside from the certificate qualifications, I have had hands-on experience providing aid and rescuing children and adults in emergency situations. I like to consider myself someone who has mastered to art of balancing responsibility and fun when looking after little ones. I am a very friendly person, with a bubbly personality, but I always keep the safety of those in my care as the top priority. When it comes to planning outings and activities, I am up for pretty much anything. I am an energetic, athletic person who loves spending time outside running around in the sunshine, but I am also more than content to settle down with a puzzle or curl up with a book. I adore arts and crafts and love any creative outlet. Apart from direct child supervision, I am proficient at a multitude of other tasks. I love to cook, and I have a passion for whipping up easy, nutritious snacks and meals (all while keeping the kitchen tidy of course). I perform simple household tasks such as laundry in an orderly and efficient manner, and I am very thorough at cleaning. I have a soft spot for animals and as a frequent pet-sitter have no problem cleaning, feeding, or walking animals. I am very attentive to instructions and have no problem carrying out simple errands in a timely manner. I love spending time with kids because I am delighted by the insight, humour, creativity and kindness that children are capable of. I believe that each child has a unique set of characteristics and interests that should be be given the opportunity to explore and celebrate their interest. Starting April 8th I will be available part-time until the 28th at which point I will be leaving for a family vacation in Europe. I will be returning on the 12th of May after which I will be available from Monday-Friday until 4:00pm and all day on the weekends.
