I have had the privilege to work closely with Michelle in our Early Years classrooms. Michelle has worked as a teaching assistant at the International School of Beijing for five years. She has worked with the Early Years teachers to deliver a program focused on project based learning for 4 and 5 year olds. She has had extensive experience working one on one with children and leading small group activities. She has been responsible for transitioning children to and from various activities within the school. She has supervised play activities, rest time and lunch time. Michelle has a very gentle approach with the children. The children respect her. She enjoys being around children. She understands how to discipline children within a framework of North American standards. Michelle has a very high level of English. She proofreads many of my assessment pieces for grammatical errors. She is a conscientious and hard worker who shows up to work a bit early, often stays later than expected, and gives plenty of notice when she is going to be away. Michelle can use Microsoft products on the computer and has written Learning Moments for children. Her rapport with the other Teaching Assistants and teachers is positive and supportive. Michelle has a son who is 1 years old and a supportive husband who also works in Beijing. I would highly recommend Michelle as a caring, nurturing, and teaching caregiver. Michelle Pabelic is an extremely reliable and conscientious employee.I knew her in the role of a teaching assistant in a large international school. I was her manger in my role as assistant principal at the school. We have worked together for three years so far. Michelle shows great initiative, good time management and is hard working.
