Hello! My name is Jamie-Lee, let me tell you a little about myself! I have a background in the Medical Field (Personal Support Worker) which means I have my CPR/First Aid, Fire prevention, Falls prevention, squeaky clean Criminal Record, I know the importance of nutritional meals and proper hydration! Now, I have always loved a good routine, children need routine to prosper! But who says it can't be fun? Learning can always be fun! I am a crafty person and always have something up my sleeve to keep the kiddos busy, even in rainy weather but there are always loads of activities outdoors. I will always carry my trusty book of ideas with me and depending on the age of the child/children they can take part in picking what they would like to do the next day. Examples I have in my trusty book are; picnics in the backyard, baking cookies, singing songs, playing baseball (really any sport, or skipping, jumping, running,) if the suns out we should be too! painting, colouring, planting flowers, 101 kid friendly science experiments (depending on age) reading, writing, card games, math games, I always have my word game every day we learn a new word and for every time the kiddies use it properly during the day they can get a star in my little book at the end of the week the little one with the most stars can pick a special activity (words will vary for ages of children). I've got it all! You name it! I have a few basic rules I would like to share with you; 1. We always clean up as we go along with our activity 2. Always keep our hands to ourselves 3. Safety first! I will respect mom and dads wishes on how to discipline so we can all be on the same page, however, a good rule of thumb, is always be on their level and talk it out. Always let the little ones figure it out with you what they had done, why it wasn't the greatest, what could have happened, and what else could we do instead. I can be stern when I need to be but I don't believe in yelling. Now lets get down to the nitty gritty! I graduated College with honours, I have my drivers licence, I do not smoke, I am pet friendly unless you have a pet snake. (don't call me if you have a pet snake). I am reliable, and adore babies and children, I never miss any time from work and I have the immune system of a bull.
