I had the opportunity of working with Joanna in a psychological center named “Vinculare” the last three years. Vinculare is a center that provides emotional therapy, learning therapy and psychomotor therapy. As clinical psychologists, we provided emotional therapies. If I had to describe her parenting style, I would say she has a democratic style. More so, Joanna manages to establish a secure bond between her and the children she attends to. She shows great abilities to relate to children by involving herself in their emotional world. Furthermore, she is willing to play with them as well as help them recognize their emotions. Her relationship with kids is based on affection, which helps when limits and rules have to be established. In respect to her discipline managing, Joanna will always anticipate to children the behavior they are supposed to have. She will always be receptive to listen to them: their complaints, their thoughts and their preferences. Joanna also recognize their goals, which helps in the construction of self-esteem. As a psychologist, she has experience working with parents. She is aware of the importance of the parenting role and that is why she promotes a healthy relationship between parents and their offspring because of that she always build an alliance between her and the parents. If she recognize any worries on the child, she will let the parents know so that they can be there for the kid. As her colleague, I have learnt from her how to handle with difficult children so that they can finally tolerate their frustrations. Once she work with a 6 year old boy that did not want to play and had an aggressive behavior. Session by session, I observed how the kid start playing and regaling with her. Taking everything into account, I recommend Joanna since I am entirely sure she has the sensibility, willingness and psychological preparation to promote well-being to children.

Joanna was a caregiver for my daughter while I was on maternity leave when my little one was 6 - 9 months old. She is fantastic with infants and my daughter always gave big smiles when she arrived in the morning. She was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend her as a nanny.

Sam and I were so fortunate to have Joanna as the first nanny for our son. Joanna came on board when our little one was just five months old and was instantly a perfect fit. She very quickly developed a strong bond with our son and it was evident that she was very interested in his well-being and development. Joanna has a super warm and caring nature, but she is also very responsible and extremely reliable – an award-winning combination when you are looking for someone to help out. She is extremely bright and mature, with a relevant education in psychology. From encouraging developmental growth to engaging in safe play, Joanna showed a strong desire and keen ability to help our son achieve healthy growth. She has continuously taken initiative to ease the burden on us working parents by meeting all of our child's needs and suggesting ways in which she (and we) could help him develop new skills. We are very sad to see Joanna go now that our little guy is going to start full-time daycare. It is very clear that Joanna wants only the best for him and we will miss her dearly. She has truly become part of the family. We recommend her to the next lucky family wholeheartedly!
