Elementary Teacher Candidate Nanny

Nanny in Guelph

I am a university student currently enrolled in my 4th year in the Trent-Queens Concurrent Education Program. Next year I will be entering into my final year at Queen's University to finish off my Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior education. I have previously worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at a number of pools both in the Kitchener/Waterloo area as well as in Peterborough. I have also worked at a number of children's day camps such as the Summer Playground Camp in Kitchener. All of these experiences have allowed me to work with children in a variety of settings that provide me with a well-rounded understanding of how to implement successful programs for children. My experiences have taught me that all children need balance, structure, and accommodations. A balance between play and instruction allows children to get the most out of every learning opportunity. Structure allows children to rely on a predictable schedule and feel at ease with a daily routine that they fit into. Accommodation is essential for every child's needs are different, and every child deserves to feel included. With these guiding principles, I feel I am able to provide an ideal atmosphere for children to grow, learn, and play.
