Hi, Good day! I'm Dorothy De La Calzada, 24 years old and currently residing in Denmark. I have been an au pair/nanny for almost 4 years now. I have had my bachelor's degree in Marketing before I became an au pair. My first 2 years au pair experience was in Norway, I used to look after 2 kids (6 & 4 yrs old) and the little girl 6 year old is diagnos of Cornelia de lang syndrome. I was staying with the family the entire period and help them with any kinds of assistance they needed. I help the kids get ready every morning to school, prepare their breakfast and lunch box then after wards I will send them to school. During the day when the kids were in school thats the time I tidy up, do the laundry, grocery, make dinner ready and other errands. Sometimes I do pick them up from school and accompanied them to their after school acitivities. In summer holidays, I also hang out with kids and play them more often outside and go for a tour. Mostly, I spent more time in taking care of the little girl and also I assisted the family when they need someone to help them with the kids when there is no class or any doctor's appointment. I had a spectacular time living and working with the entire family, we had good connection and treated each other as family and until now I still have communication with them. My current work is in Denmark and still an au pair. I have been here for almost 2 years and works in a family of four. The kids are already grown up so I don't need to look after them but the family owns a big dog so aside from running the house I'm also taking care of the dog. The nature of work here is more simplier than the previous one I had in Norway. I just have to clean the house make sure everything is tidy, do the laundry, grocery and prepare meals. I'm very interested to work in Canada as a caregiver/nanny because aside from the fact that it is an English country, it has also been my dream to live there. It is one of the places where I can imagine pursuing my goals. Working with kids or serving the elderly people brings me so much joy and I love doing it. I'm very fond talking and hanging out with kids and elderly people I think I learn a lot from them. I also experienced taking care of an elderly person before when I was still in the Philippines. My grandmother was diagnosed of Alzheimer's disease and high blood pressure. I took care of her from giving her medicine, food, checking her vital signs and blood pressure and sleep beside her everyday for 3 years. I also accompanied her during her doctor's visit or even in the hospital during those times when she needed to be there and other personal appointments. I'm very calm, open-minded, trust worthy, organized, responsible and out going person. I am very fond of hanging out with kids, very optimistic and active person. I'm very keen in learning new things, meet new people with different culture and share my life journey to other people. P.S I'm very open in moving anytime soon. I just need a sponsorship for me to be able to move and work in Canada. If you are interested in my case, feel free to contact me. Best Regards, Dorothy
