Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Seeking support worker in Kitsilano, Vancouver Hi! I am looking for a support worker / caregiver / behaviour interventionist to help with my 12yo son on Sundays from 12-4pm, acting as a support and help when he's spending time with an adult family member in the community. My son has special needs. We have a really solid Sunday afternoon routine and it's very successful. As there's another family member, your job will focus more on making sure the positive support plan and safety plan are followed and looking for any signs or cues that show my son is getting triggered and provide support as needed. This includes making some notes about behaviours, medical challenges, etc. We can go over the details. You need a minimum of two years of post-secondary education, preferably in child and youth care, psychology or social work, but I'm willing to consider studies in another area if they are combined with relevant experience and training. My son loves technology, Minecraft, Pokemon, Dungeons & Dragons, art, jokes, computer coding, casual sports and more. Now all the boring legal stuff....This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a job. You will need to invoice and provide receipts and sign agreements required for any funding I receive, so you need to be declaring your income and legally entitled to work in Canada. :) This is a live out contractor situation.
