Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

I have always been told by the families I babysit for that I am somewhat of a \'baby whisperer\' - I have naturally just always been good with children 0-7, and that is where most of my experience has been, that said I have worked with older children as well. I have worked not only as a regular babysitter for children 0-12, but also specialized as an infant nanny, a pre-school teacher for toddlers, managed day camps for ages 3-6, been a camp counsellor, volunteered with seniors with intellectual disabilities and most recently, for the past 3 years have worked with children and adults with special needs at a sleep-away camp in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. I am someone who is incredibly enthusiastic and dedicated in everything that I do - my passion for working with kids has culminated in my choice of career as a neo-natal/paediatric occupational therapist, which I am pursuing a masters degree in presently. I am very flexible, patient, organized and always bring the utmost in kindness & care to any situation. I have had a wide variety of work & volunteer experiences with children 0-12, as well as experiences caring for teenagers, adults & seniors with special needs. I have travelled as a nanny internationally and within Canada. My experience working in camps has taught me a great deal about communication and planning well structured activities for children. My experience with infants & newborns is something I take great pride in; my ability to care and understand babies needs has always been a natural skill and the term \'baby whisperer\' has been used by many families I have worked for.
