As a qualified and experienced kindergarten assistant, I am interested in working as a designated early childhood educator at the Annette Street Junior and Senior Public School. I completed a two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education in June 2015 and have been working as a kindergarten assistant at a local school since August 2015. I have performed diverse pedagogical and administrative duties to the satisfaction of my supervisors. I am registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. As part of my professional development, I have familiarized myself with the standards of the Ministry of Education’s full-day learning program as well as the policies of the TDSB. My responsibilities as a kindergarten assistant include assisting the teacher in executing lesson plans and other learning and co-curricular activities. I am attentive to the behavioural and psychological issues of children and communicate with the management and parents sensitively and confidentially about any problems. I am of sound physical health and am comfortable with lifting children and moving classroom furniture and supplies as required.
