Dear Host Family, It is with great pleasure for me being part of your family as an Au Pair. I am Jercille Romlin Galanza, 25 years of age and a registered nurse by profession. As my educational background, I took up my primary level in Caruhatan East Elementary School. And then as my secondary level I took it at Our lady of Lourdes College. I passed the nursing board exam last June 2009. I have considerable amount of knowledge which I gained from my experiences in handling patients, elderly and especially children. With regards to my family background, I am the eldest daughter and I have one brother and sister. They are both studying in college and both of my parents are the one who guides us to have a better future. My father used to be an Overseas Filipino Worker for almost 10 years. My mother worked as a cashier supervisor on a mall since they got married by my father. During my student life, my relatives used to finance my studies and it is very rewarding for me and to my family to become a Licensed Nurse. It is with great pleasure for me handling children. I really do love and fond child. During my college days, we used to nurse and took care newborn babies where as a student nurse I am the one who feeds them, bathes them, gives them necessary medicines and supplements to nourish them, how to change their clothes and diapers and most importantly how to handle them safely. I\'ve learned a lot of things concerning caring for newborn babies and children of various ages. In terms of my hobbies and interest, I love to read books which I can learn new ideas. I love to explore things which can be helpful in all ways. When Im stressed I used to play with my younger cousins for me to ease out my stresses. The most important thing is that I consider challenges as a good thing because it makes me learn more about my craft and lets me become better at it. I like the idea of coming to a country where language and culture are entirely different from what I know. I love learning new things and I like traveling. I also love children very much. I baby-sit my cousins and nephew ages 2 to 8 years old. I am a well-rounded person and have eagerness to learn. As of now I am recently an aupair here in Netherlands and will finish my contract next year of August. Im taking care of two kids, both of them are boys, 3 and 2 years of age. I am now enjoying the culture and beauty of this country. For my 3 months of staying here I can say that Im experiencing now the dutch culture for this cultural exchange program. The kids and my host family treats me as the part of their family and enjoying my stay with them. I only have one reason why I really wanted to be an au pair because I wanted to explore and gain knowledge about the lifestyle, beliefs, language and most importantly the culture in every country that I\'ve been. And by doing so, it will be a great opportunity for me to enjoy and have memorable experiences with you and your family. It will be an honor for me to meet your family soon. Hoping you\'ll choose me as your dependable au pair. Thank you so much for spending your time reading my letter.
