Dear Future Employer, First, I want to thank you for reading this cover letter. I am Maria Andrea Sinsay, I`d prefer to be called Andy, I`m 23 years old turning 24 this coming July 26. Im currently working as a full time Registered Nurse at a Medical Centre here in United Arab Emirates (Dubai). I`m looking forward to working as Live-in Caregiver for a family in Canada and would be willing to commit three years or more for one same family. I am looking forward to a long, stable, and friendly relationship with my future employer and willing to sponsor under Live-In Caregiver Program. I`m an experienced Registered Nurse in the Philippines. I also worked in a Nursery School as a full time School Nurse. I`ve had my Basic Life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support training. I have also passed the Caregiving NC2 assessment and now holding a Caregiver certificate, that`s equivalent to 6 months caregiving training. I`ve had my child care and elderly care experience for almost two years way back from college during my internship. In the Philippines, when you are licensed nurse, you are eligible to apply under Live-in Caregiver Program. We have a two year clinical experience that we obtained during our internship and that serves as our training or experience. When you passed the nursing licensure examination, you will be allowed to practice your profession as a Licensed Nurse, this is why I dont have full time experience as a nanny, because I had to gain post graduate experience. I may not have full time experience as a nanny/caregiver but I believe that I have the necessary skills and knowledge. I believe that ability is nothing without any good opportunity and any opportunity gives us a chance to prove ourselves. I am open and having no border, I respect all noble-minded beliefs and would like to touch and accept new things. I can totally understand your mood now, because I know it is not so easy to choose the right person who you can trust and leave your children with. In my view, children need people to understand their emotions and their inner needs. Additionally they need support and encouragement. So the people accompanying children should be kind-hearted, which means loving, empathetic, patient, considerate, and responsible. For children, we should not only take care and supervise them according to their ages and characters but also help them establish good habits, grow up healthily in physical and emotional needs. Besides that, I think it is important to maintain some sense of structure in your family for your kids` sake. My child care philosophy is the belief that helping children to grow into productive citizens, friends, neighbors and future parents themselves is the most important. Every child is a unique person and helping them discover their full potential in every area of development is the task at hand. I also believe in good communication between a child care provider and a child. The ability to listen, to understand and communicate ones needs to others is an essential part of a childs development. It is very important to teach personal responsibility, good social skills and manners at a very early age. Last but not least, as a live-in caregiver, I will respect and take your disciplines. I will respect the familys privacy and abide by the familys house rules.
