Nanny in Kingston, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Hello! My name is Meaghan and I'm a 24-year-old student in the Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program at St. Lawrence College. I have approximately 3 years of experience working with children, and spent some time last year working to support children in a grade 5/6 classroom-- and had so, SO much fun doing it. Working alongside the classroom teacher, I assisted the students in completing their work & provided 1:1 support for a few students to decrease disruptive and aggressive behaviour. I planned and organized fun, active and engaging recreational activities for the students, as well as crafts/creative projects. Although my professional experience is working with kids around the age of 10, I have also babysat for many friends/family members and am very comfortable watching children as young as 2 years old. I have a nephew (now 7) who I spend a lot of time with and love to take on fun adventures and outings to museums/parks whenever possible. As a nanny, I believe it is very important for children to be active, engaged and cared for by someone who really cares. I aim to live a healthy lifestyle and believe in the importance of eating well, limiting screen-time and getting outside. I love doing yoga, going for walks, gardening and cooking. I love preparing healthy meals and have experience preparing vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free food for children-- who can be quite picky, as we all know. I also believe that creativity is extremely important for children and LOVE to paint, draw & make crafts. I have led several art groups for children and am very creative when it comes to planning and organizing projects. I am an extremely organized person, who is very capable of juggling multiple responsibilities with ease. Let me make your life a little easier! I have First-Aid CPR C and a valid G-level driver's licence, but do not currently own a vehicle. I am able to take the bus, willing to accept rides and comfortable driving your car, if necessary. I can also provide a recent and valid CPIC, as well as several letters of reference. My schedule is very flexible and I am available most nights/weekends, but would prefer to work during the week if possible. I am open and comfortable with working with families who have more than one child, and am flexible regarding salary. Please email me if you have any questions!
