I am currently in my second year of university – working towards my bachelor of arts in recreation, sports and tourism. I am employed as a Lifeguard and have numerous certificates including: first aid, bronze cross, national lifeguard, aquatic emergency care and automated external defibrillator. I teach individual and group swimming lesson and have had the privilege of assisting individuals with special needs to enjoy and compete in swimming. I work part time providing respite for a young man who is on the Autism Spectrum with comorbid diagnosis of Tourette’s and Anxiety. I have experience as a supervisor, can work independently and have strong verbal and written communication skills. My creativity will engage the children that are placed in my care, as they participate in learning and meeting their goals.
