Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello there! My name is Monica! I am 27 years old and I live in the NW of Calgary with my partner and my rescue dog Charlie! I have been working in childcare since I was 17 and babysat my cousins many, many times before starting in the field! I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to work after school at a Montessori preschool and I fell in love with the job. I began to explore other philosophies and I ran a Reggio program there for a few years. My dream is to open a Reggio school in Calgary one day! I believe children are capable of much more than we give them credit for. Trying to see the world through their eyes is something I continue to practice when working with little ones. They have so much creativity, love and excitement about the world and it’s important to me to help them nourish their curiosity. I have my level 1 in childcare certification with goals to acquire my level 2. I have recent first aid/ CPR certification and I renew it every 3 years. I also have a current police record check and a valid license. I have had experience in nannying, caring for high needs children as an Educational Assistant, Montessori, Reggio, after school care and babysitting. With every opportunity I try to learn as much as I can about the individual children I’m working with to meet their specific needs.
