Employers: Khadidiatou Gano ep Kaba and Daye Kaba Employers’ address: 1777 Autumn Crescent, Pickering, ON, L1V 6W7 Work Location: same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infant • Prepare infant and children for rest periods • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Develop schedules and routines to ensure that the children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Take children to and from school and to appointments • Tend to emotional wellbeing of children • Supervise and care for children • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and organize mealtimes and snacks • Bathe, dress and feed infant and children • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children so that children can learn about culture, the world and explore interests (going to the park, visit museum, going to the library…) • Help children with homework • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens • Shop for food and household supplies • Care for pets Requirements: -Education: Completion of secondary school is required -Experience: At least a year of full-time experience as a caregiver is required -Criminal record check is asset -First aid certificate is asset -Reference check is required -Speak English and French is an asset Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 hourly, 40-45 Hours per week Benefits: medical insurance is provided until the employee is eligible for personal coverage with OHIP. Meals are provided. Important Information: - The nanny will be responsible for the care of 3 children who are 6 months old, 5 years old and 10 years old. - Flexibility on schedule is required. The candidate will work 8 to 9 hours per day; shifts: from 7:00am to 4:00pm from Monday to Saturday morning (a day and a half off per week). Overtime may be required. - Transportation is provided for visits and outings with children. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
