I am Karren May C. Nepomuceno, 31 Years old. a B.S. Nursing graduate of Philippine College of Health and Sciences and presently residing in Singapore. I am now on a look out for possible employment in Canada where I could utilize my experiences in Nursing Care for the elderly and/or childcare concerns. At present, I am connected with MINDS Home Base Care Services, an institution that specializes in people with intellectual disability, as a Senior Care Associate who deals with people with special needs in a home-based care service setting. I started my career way back in January 2011 as a Volunteer Nurse at a local Medical Lying-In Clinic in the Philippines for more than a year. Later, I was employed as a Pharmacy Assistant at a local drugstore for almost a year. This company ceased operations and this prompted me to seek employment outside of my country. Then in February 2014, I moved to Singapore and was employed at MINDS-MindsVille@Napiri as a Nursing Aide for two years and later was promoted to the position of a Senior Care Associate at MINDS Home Base Care Services. This institution provided me relevant experiences in Nursing Care as I was trained for Occupational, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy discipline as part of the daily routines required from my job. As a Training Officer I have worked one-on one with clients to implements behavioral supports program. Setting up for and cleaning up after a session with a client and collecting and graphing data about the client’s learning and behavior such as engaging and motivating the client to learn.Interacting positively and professionally with the client’s parents and family, as well as other staff members. This overseas employment in Singapore tremendously boosts my flexibility and reliability as a health worker.
