I am a young, gentle, and loving care professional. Previously, I studied child and youth work, but am making the transition to the holistic health field (hoping to specialize in children’s health). My studies have included learning about child and adolescent development, building relationship with young people, and the various challenges that children and youth face. Not only did I grow up around several younger children, I have experience assisting with and running childcare programming, and a decade of babysitting experience for children of various ages. In my spare time, I’m often educating myself about mental health, physical health, and spiritual wellness. My approach to child care is a strengths-based one: I believe that young people are resilient and possess innate skills that can be drawn upon to overcome challenges. I prefer to approach behavioural issues with open discussion, redirection, and distress reduction. Most of all, I understand a child's need for unconditional love from those who care for them!
