Hello my name is Megan. About me: I am from Nova Scotia. I studied Recreational Therapy at Concordia University for 3 years starting in 2014, but in September 2017 I switched to a Music Major with the intentions of pursuing a career in Music Therapy instead. This year however, I have decided to take some time away from school to gain more experience, explore, and plan how I will achieve my goal. I love watching animation (especially Disney), but also enjoy books and colouring. I love arts and crafts (even though I am not so great at the "arts" part), I especially love to cross-stitch and scrapbook. I am passionate about singing (anything music related really, ex: playing instruments, listening, teaching), as well as theatre. I love yoga, and nature (the ocean is my favourite place to be). Skills: I am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified through Rescue 7. I have years of experience caring for children of all ages, as well as years of experience caring for children who have special needs. I am also educated on childhood growth and development through University courses. I am organized and responsible. I am able to focus on multiple tasks and have strong attention to detail. I am honest and understand the necessity of patience and communication when working with children. I am fun, outgoing, and animated. I am great at planning/preparing activities and am comfortable leading them. I am comfortable with meal preparation and house tidying. I am also comfortable with caring for animals, as I am an animal lover. Location: I am located in the Plateau, Mont Royal, but have access to public transportation, as well as a valid driver's license. Availability: I can start as soon as needed, for a full- time position. I currently have a seasonal evening job (5pm-12am/ weekends) that will be ending mid-October, but my schedule is flexible.
