Hi! My name is Kaitlyn. I am in my 4th year of Education at the University of Alberta, currently working towards a degree in Elementary Education. I have completed my two student teaching practicums, and currently in my last semester of school. I come from a very large family, so I have always been surrounded by children. Working, teaching and engaging with children brings me absolute happiness. My patient, warm, fun, and enthusiastic personality helps me to develop positive and strong relationships with children. For years, I have done part time babysitting for relatives, varying from infancy to elementary age. For four years, I was involved in the Student Representative Council and Students Against Destructive Decisions program, and given the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with children. With a team, I planned and organized continuous events and spent great time in and outside of classrooms with children. In my university years, I have actively participated in volunteer programs including Study Buddy and wee read. These wonderful opportunities allowed for both whole-class and one-on-one experiences with children. I worked for 3 years as a office janitor, therefore I am open to doing light housework. I am looking for a part-time nanny position, I am looking to work with children anywhere from infancy to elementary age. I live downtown and have my own vehicle.
