Hi, I'm a nanny looking for some children to love! I believe in gentle parenting, gentler than even mainstream gentle parenting. I would love to share more about what that looks like if you are curious. Of course your word is final on parenting strategies, but it’s ideal if we have at least similar ideologies! One boundary for me is that I’m not comfortable with sleep training, but I am very knowledgeable about other ways to help babies sleep in a way that works for both them and you - possums is my favourite approach. I’ve also read lots about Montessori for both the baby and toddler stages, but I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet. I’m very excited to practice those skills if you’re interested! My little sister was born when I was 13, and I lived with her as a built-in babysitter until she was 5, so I have a lot of experience with what the growing youngsters need at different ages. She’s a tween now and we still have such a close bond. I also have plenty of experience nannying and babysitting other people's children, from 6 months to 11 years old. References are available upon request. I am fully vaxxed and regularly get covid boosters and the seasonal flu shot. My roommate and I are pretty covid-cautious (no large indoor unmasked gatherings, including no eating inside at restaurants). I’m very open to discussing covid precautions. As the numbers show, it’s very much not over and I care about your family’s health, my own, and that of the community at large.
