Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for a nanny for a full-time start in March in the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto. We have a 6 month old girl named Sophie. The position will become a nanny share with my friend Meredith and her 6 month old boy Billy in July of this year. Until then, we are looking for care for Sophie only. We are looking for someone who truly adores children, that will become a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to Billy and Sophie. Major Responsibilities - Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment - Supervise the children’s activities at all times - Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the children - Dress the children - Place the children down for naps and bedtime - Change diapers - Perform housework related to child care, including washing the children’s clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing bottles - Teach the children good manners - Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors - Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children - Drive the children to and from activities (looking for someone who has own/access to a vehicle) Job Qualifications and Requirements - Creatively finds things to do with the children every day - High school graduate - Experience caring for children - Training in early childhood education a bonus - First aid training and child and infant CPR - Car, driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving history - English proficiency - Reliable, honest, and trustworthy - Physical ability to care for 2 young children - Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
