Nanny Job in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia

We are a family of four searching for a care provider and housekeeper for our 18-year-old who has Down syndrome and Autism. Our son does very well when we use effective strategies with him and we are willing to teach and support his caregivers. He is happy, calm, and quiet most of the time, and he is loved by many. He responds very well to positive people who smile and like to be silly. Home in Port Coquitlam. Starting August, 2017, approximately 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility, some Saturdays if desired. Related college training and some experience preferred. Driver’s License required. First Aid, CPR, Criminal Record Check required (and willingness to get a Vulnerable Sectors Check done). Duties include meal preparation; housekeeping; and assisting 18-year-old with some basic personal hygiene, picking him up from school and driving him to therapy sessions, and participating with him in community outings (walks to park, bowling, movies).
