Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hello! My name is Lilly Maddalena (she/her), and I am moving (back!) to Halifax following my graduation from my Bachelor of Music Therapy at Acadia University in April, 2022. I have previously spent my summers at various Nova Scotia summer camps where I gained invaluable experience in creating safe spaces for children to explore, learn, and grow. I am passionate about how music, play, art, drama, movement, and dance can support young people throughout their development. In September, I am beginning an internship with Heartsparks Music Therapy, with a professional goal of exploring child-centred approaches to Music Therapy. I would love to commit to a family in Halifax full time from May-September 2022, as I make my transition to my internship in the fall. I may have the availability to continue past September with reduced hours. I will be living in the South End, and I have a vehicle. I am First Aid and CPR certified, and can provide a background check, and personal and/or professional references. I'm available Monday-Friday, and could do occasional evenings and weekends. I have experience with infants, children, and teens, and have experience with people with disabilities and chronic health conditions, LGBTQ youth and Autistic folks. I have always loved working with children, and I am serious about treating children with respect and kindness. I believe play supports development, and I would love to create safe environments for your little ones to explore, play, and learn about the world. I'm active, outgoing, and patient, and I have experience planning cooking, art, drama, music, nature, and movement activities for all ages. I would gladly be involved in housekeeping, meal prep/cooking, and pet care.
