Nanny in Tofino, British Columbia

I am young fun-loving and responsible, currently in my final year of a biology/psychology degree. I absolutely love all animals and all things outdoors. I have passion for reading as well as music and have years of experience in theatre and musical productions. Throughout my 4 years in high school I was vice president of my speech and debate team and then graduated with a French immersion honour roll diploma. This gives me an outgoing edge with a fun and creative outlook on life! In addition to babysitting the children of family and friends for many years, I have volunteered at overnight outdoor winter camps with children ages 7-14. I was also part of a Parks Canada summer leadership camp where I gained skills and confidence in being a leader/teacher. I was a full-time nanny two summers ago and last summer I was a lifeguard at a busy Parks Canada tourist attraction! I currently volunteer with a program called Rainbows in Nanaimo where I facilitate a support group for youth age 5-13. I am graduating with a psychology/ biology degree and a certificate in addictions studies. I will be applying for the Education program next year so that I can work my dream job as a biology teacher and later to complete my masters to become a school counsellor as well. I have first aid level one with CPR C certification as well as the National Lifeguard Certification. I own my own vehicle. I would absolutely love to work with your children and use these personal attributes to involve them in a fun and engaging experience while under my care.
