Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

It's nice to meet you! My name is Gabrielle & I am a 29 year old living in the Bedford area. I am a very experienced nanny, working both as a live-in & live out caregiver. I am seeking a PT afternoon/evening or after school role. I would describe myself as a kind, patient, thoughtful & gentle person. I am also very outgoing - I love to have fun with kids, but also enforce and am consistent with unique family & parenting rules. My experience with children: I've worked as a live-in nanny for an incredible French family in Paris, France (where I spoke both French and English with kids, aged 4 & 6.) I was also a live-in nanny for a family in Frankfurt, Germany for a family with two boys, a 2-month old infant & toddler. I've worked in Bedford part-time with another family of two boys aged 6 & 8. Additionally, I've worked as a figure skating / CanSkate coach for 5 years and grew up as a competitive figure skater. Currently, I am a nanny in mornings only for a family of 3 young children. With this, the role of 'child caregiver' & the very special responsibility that follows is something I understand and am familiar with fully. Where I am: I am located in the Bedford / Halifax, I have had a drivers license over 10 years & own a reliable SUV. What I offer: Mealtimes, play/read/games, drive to sports or outings & interact, bath time etc. I am great with homework & speak fluently in French. I am creative & like reading/stories, crafts, music, the outdoors etc. I play both the piano and flute. I can be helpful & provide other occasional tasks as they would become necessary; helping fold laundry, tidy kitchen after meals, tidying after playtime, getting groceries, dishwasher etc. (although I am not seeking to provide routinely in-depth house cleaning services - childcare is the focus.) My other background: I have a Masters of Science degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I also have a French Bilingual Certificate from MSVU. I am completing other related courses currently at Cornell Uni, so right now I am looking for a part-time afternoon or evening position while I am continuing studying. When I can start: Right away!
