Nanny in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

I feel like I'm 30 and don't like to sit around being "retired". All my to do list is done and although I have enjoyed hiking almost everyday with my dog, Conrad's horse trails being our favourite, it's time to be useful. I own my home, I enjoy making nutritious meals, can do most home repairs, don't own a tv, know how to ski, skate, and swim like a fish. Children are a pleasure, now that mine is an adult, I would enjoy the opportunity to engage with little ones again. When Julia was young the neighbourhood kids were always over and I miss those times, so much laughter and loads of watermelon. In regards to discipline I believe it is a false paradigm, children test boundaries, mistakes in judgement are opportunities to teach self regulation and problem resolution. Time outs aren't the answer, praising the good efforts and activities bring the ripple effect. These are the best of times.
