Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hi I’m Maleah, I am a student at the University of Calgary with the intentions of joining the education program to become a teacher. I am an experienced nanny looking for summer employment in NW Calgary. Available start date: June 30 (I am committed to my current family through this CBE school year) Availability: 2-3 days per week (regularly scheduled) or full time. I am currently using my earnings to fund my university education. I am happy to work part time (2 or 3 days per week) if they are regularly scheduled days (ie the same days each week) as this will allow me to find another job on the days I am not caring for your children. I have - Two years experience as a full time nanny - A clean driving record and reliable vehicle - CPR (child CPR) and first aid - pending - Police and vulnerable sector check - My french diploma (I graduated high school through the French immersion program and am functionally bilingual) I excel at - Creating structure and routine - Drawing clear and kind boundaries - Connecting with kids in ways that are meaningful to them Along with many years of babysitting I also have full time childcare experience. I had the privilege of working with a family at the beginning of COVID helping their two boys through the rest of their online school year and through that summer. For the part of the online schooling I was present for I provided help with math and reading both in French. I again worked for them the next summer. I started working with my current family at the beginning of this school year and committed to work with them until the end of this school year in late June. I am willing to take your children to their extra circulars and on small outings with compensation for gas. I am proficient in the kitchen and am willing to do light meal prep. I am comfortable with pets and can commit to keeping a tidy space (sweeping when kids make crumbs, overseeing clean up of toys, counter/surface wipe down if kids get it messy) I am also capable of helping with any homework assignments your children might have (French or English). And as a bonus your children will find me really cool.
