Working with people with disabilities—whether developmental or physical— is something I am passionate about. I am university student in Concordia's Art Education program. As part of my program, I just finished a placement teaching art classes to students (12 to 16) with autistic syndrome disorder once a week at Summit LHA . Last year, I completed a placement at McKay Elementary School where I got first-hand experience teaching art to a group of non-verbal students in wheelchairs who use technology to communicate. In 2020-202..., I took a gap year and travelled to Tanzania to work at a centre for children with disabilities. Last summer, I was a counsellor at Camp Cosmos, in charge of leading a group of 7 and 8-year-old campers from disadvantaged backgrounds, including refugee children from Ukraine.
