Caregiver/Nursing Aide/Nanny (position description) Nanny is a specialist working in the family's home responsible for all task related to care of the children. Nanny serves as a loving,caring nurturing trustworthy companion to a children like a mother. Major responsibilities of a Nanny: • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children • Supervise the children’s activities at all times • Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the children • Place the children down for naps and bedtime • Bath the children • Change diapers • Potty train the children • Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors • Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children • Discipline the children, when necessary Major Responsibilities of Care Giver • Help clients or residents with the activities of daily living • Perform personal care task such as hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, toileting and shaving • Talk with clients; give them companionship while participating in resident activities • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for clients • Provide transfers assistance by moving clients in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or cars • Change bed linens, clean and iron laundry and assist in keeping room, cabinet, and dresser drawers neat and clean • Maintain a specialized approach to responsibilities such as uniform, start times and Absenteeism • Take and record vital signs • Create and maintain a pleasant work environment • Help with sanitation and housekeeping tasks of client’s room, bathroom, and common areas • Perform general household tasks including laundry, shopping, errands and transportation • Implement and support resident-care plans Position Description Nursing Aide: Responsible for caring for elderly, disabled, mentally ill, or injured patients in a healthcare setting.
