I am a third year BScN student with Red Deer College looking for either part-time or full-time in the summer months, with some negotiation for weekends heading into September 2016 (as I will be living in Red Deer). I have completed six clinical placements as of now through school, two of which were labour & delivery and public health. I worked in the maternity ward in the Red Deer Regional Hospital assisting in deliveries, helping new mothers transition into a new life phase, changing diapers, bathing newborns, and coaching in breastfeeding as an independent worker. In public health, I assisted in helping families with young children receive vaccinations, answer questions about childhood development, and worked beside other public health nurses on baby home visits. I have 3 years babysitting experience prior to nursing as well. I have a current CPR (to a health care professional's level), first aid, and criminal record check. I am very reliable, friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible.
