Overview About Myself: Hello there! My name is Emma and I'm a recent graduate from Brock University with a Bachelor of Child Health degree. I am now at York University part of the Faulty of Education. My varied experiences as a Child Caregiver (nanny), Year 1 Teacher Candidate, and Emergency Supply Teacher, have all contributed to my desire to become an effective and empathetic educator one day. That being said, my love for children is unconditional. For the past couple years, I have dedicated my time and love towards working with children as a nanny, and I have been so thrilled and grateful to be able to call this my job. I truly love the surrounding company of children, and value each and every experience with the child/children that have been in my care. My Availability: Beginning in May 2025, I am seeking part-time/full-time work hours (either 8am-2pm, or 9am-5pm) Monday-Friday. In case you'd like to know more: -Excelled in providing in-home care for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, ranging from newborn to 11 years old. -Have created and maintained a safe environment in alignment with parents goals and expectations. -Experience with baby-led weaning, puree feeds, bottle feeding, changing diapers etc (lots of infant experience). -Experience working with multiple children at once. -Experience bringing children in my care to different environments that aid in their development, such as EarlyOn Centre’s, the library, etc. -Experience with overnight nannying supervision (at home with children alone for multiple days/nights while parents were on vacation). -Supervision during bath time; facilitates an appropriate amount of water in the tub, while always maintaining attention of the child. -Experience with sign language (ASL - colours, basic signs, letters). -Have my own vehicle, with a G license of four years (Yes, I AM comfortable driving children).
