As the owner of a brand new childcare facility in Cochrane, and the first of its kind by way of a Christian facility, I had the privilege of hiring Shauna who helped me in more ways than I can mention here. She painted rooms with sunny murals, set up furnishings for me, and co-led school tours and open houses. Shauna has a wonderful spirit and it took no time at all for the parents and children to love her. Shauna’s primary goal was to get the parents of each student involved in their child’s education. She would send lesson plans and activities home with the students and invite parents to volunteer in the classroom, engaging and befriending them. Shauna formed strong connections within the community which helped the Centre grow from an upstart to a flourishing business with a waiting list. She was especially gifted in our infant/toddler program where she remained until her departure, lovingly nurturing these babies with glee. Shauna never missed a day of work and by the second year of opening was working morning and afternoons and directing the centre in my absence. I could trust her fully.
