Hi! My name is Alicia, I'm 27 and I graduated from UBC (BA in Psychology) and SFU (BEd). I've taken courses in child and adolescent development, infant development, and applied developmental psychology. I am a certified teacher focussing on elementary/primary grades as of 2025. I have certification for first aid and CPR C which includes Infant CPR. I also took the food safe level 1 course, and although my certification has expired I still remember the material! I will have availability during the summer time, July and August. I have experience in casual babysitting (from infancy to age 11), full time nannying working with twin toddlers, being a support aide for a special needs boy (11 year old boy with non-verbal autism and OCD) in an out of school care program, as well as infants (from newborn onwards) and multiple children. I also volunteer as a martial arts instructor. I'm comfortable cooking, cleaning, running errands, or any other chores you might have in mind (including pet care). I also have my own vehicle, and a clean drivers abstract. I was Montessori taught from preschool till grade 7, and follow their philosophy of child led, interactive and fun learning. My hobbies include karate, baking (I have a fantastic chocolate chip cookie recipe), cooking, reading, hiking/going for walks, and gardening.
