Hi! My name is Alicia, I'm 25 and I graduated from UBC (BA in Psychology with a minor in philosophy) in 2021. I've taken courses in child and adolescent development, infant development, and applied developmental psychology. I will be going to SFU in September to become an elementary school teacher. I have certification for first aid and CPR C which includes Infant CPR. I also took the food safe level 1 course, and although my certification has expired I still remember the material! I’m currently looking to fill Mondays and Fridays for the summer, starting June 19th (my current family will be moving to their summer home until September). I have experience in casual babysitting (from infancy to age 11), working with twin toddlers, a baby boy, as well as support work for a special needs boy (11 year old boy with non-verbal autism and OCD) in an out of school care program. I have also volunteered as a martial arts instructor and in a kindergarten class. I'm comfortable cooking, cleaning, running errands, or any other chores you might have in mind (including pet care). I also have my own vehicle, and a clean drivers abstract. I am a very co-vid conscious individual. I have received both doses of the vaccine and my first booster, and will be getting any and all boosters when available. I was Montessori taught from preschool till grade 7, and follow their philosophy of child led, interactive and fun learning. My hobbies include karate, baking (I have a fantastic chocolate chip cookie recipe), cooking, reading, hiking/going for walks, and gardening.
