Nanny in East York, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
Hi there, My name is Dinah. I am a professional, kind, caring, and Certified PSW. I have experience working with the elderly, people with disabilities, children of those individuals with disabilities, and children in general as a nanny. I am available to start immediately Over many years of work experience for a large organization in Toronto, promoting independence for people with disabilities, dementia, stroke, and Alzheimer's in a home setting and or organization or institution., Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care, bedside care, feeding or assisting with providing, changing a non-sterile dressing, administering medications as per instruction, helping with bathing and other related to personal hygiene, showering, ambulatory care, positioning, assist in using assistive devices if any, collect specimens and assist a client working as per client instruction. Also, prepare meals, cook and serve meals, plan a menu for a specific diet to the client, and shop for housekeeping and household supplies, if assisting as a caregiver for the elderly or adult. The emphasis on providing compassionate care through dignity, independence, preferences, privacy, and safety, The same organization has also enabled me to work with children as nurturing, similar to child care in that under the guidance of the mother, who is physically disabled, her child is dressed, prep morning breakfast, brought to school, picked up from school, while the child is at school do laundry and tidy up the child's room, when the child comes home from school prepare the child's dinner, shower, and get ready for reading time story. If I had the morning shift, I would bring the child to school. If I ended up with the night shift, meal prep, shower, and reading time would follow. It would all depend on the shift that I got. I have looked after children of many varying ages I have over 20 years experience with children I also worked at SRT Med Staff in 2012. I worked for a former hockey player in Kelowna, British Columbia, from August 2013 to March 2014. I have looked after clients up to the Current date of 2022. Certificate in Personal Support Worker (PSW)/ Current CPR and First Aid / Criminal Record Check/ Immunization and Tuberculosis test. References are available upon request. I am hard-working, loyal, responsible, flexible work schedule, punctual, and dependable with a positive attitude. Experienced and able to assist with computer use, reading skills, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, job task planning, organizing, finding information, and continued learning. Willing to travel regularly and for an extended period with public transportation. Additionally to that is I enjoy making home-cooked meals that are healthy, simple, and tasty. I believe in only using if possible organic ingredients or locally grown ones. One of my favorites is creating salads. It's all in the dress. Most of all, I enjoy working with people, young and old, with as much diversity as possible; I believe it opens our understanding of each other and creates a healthy and vibrant society. In my spare time, I like to experiment with the recipe. Aside from that, I enjoy creating. I want to paint and write poems. I went to OCAD, so for me, painting and anything creative is a form of therapeutic outlet. I am expressing a need for a medium, in my case, a canvas or pen and paper. Thank you for reading my info.
