About Me: Hello my name is Des! I'm searching to connect with a family in Airdrie, Alberta. I'm aiming to utilize my experience as I have been a child care provider for 6 years, I have worked with the Calgary Board of Education helping children to learn and facilitate strengths based learning, and I have my Bachelor of Social Work. I have worked with children all ages. This has allowed me to be patient, caring and compassionate. I meet children where they are at. I have practicum experience at Discovery House, which is a secondary women’s shelter for women and children. My future career goal is to continue my work with families from a clinical framework. In addition, I have worked at the Boys and Girls Club Calgary, MRU kids, CBE and have been nannying on Call for almost six years around the city. I might charge more than most nannies, but I think the skills and quality of care I am able to provide speaks to that.
